Anjali Tsui is an independent reporter and editor.

Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Guardian, among other publications.

Anjali began her career at CNN International and later worked as an investigative journalist for ProPublica, FRONTLINE PBS and The Examination, a nonprofit newsroom covering public health. She was the editor of “Missing Them,” a COVID-19 memorial and journalism project at THE CITY that won the Online News Association’s Knight Award for Public Service. She has been part of teams that won a Peabody Award and an Alfred I. duPont–Columbia Award, and that were nominated for an Emmy and a Gerald Loeb Award.

Anjali was a Magic Grant fellow at Columbia University’s Brown Institute for Media Innovation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English, with a concentration in creative writing, from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a master’s degree, with honors, from Columbia Journalism School’s Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism.. She lives in Hong Kong.
